Stu Burchnall

1963 - 2013

Stu suddenly passed away in the early hours of Sunday 17th November during our LAN party.  His loss will be felt throughout the clan.

Stu had been an integral part of the clan since our early days.  He posted under the user name of Stu038, and was known by many under the gamertag of DogBreath038.  Stu brought to the clan a wealth of knowledge from his role with Virgin Media.  His droll sense of humour was legendary.  He had become a good friend to many of us through not only the regular conversations over the internet, but also attending and hosting some of our gatherings, as well as other social occasions.

Stu is survived by his wife Vivien and son Cameron (who many will know as Thannis or Silverswords).  Our thoughts are with them.

Very very sad loss. He took me to the first ever NTHW lan down at Roughs and he had paid me a few visits at my home over the years. He was always a well grounded guy and had a marvelous sense of humour. The world is a worse place without him. RIP Dogbreath :(

Truely sad news, thoughts and prayers are with Stu's family at this difficult time.
He will be missed from the Clan, who can forget "Evnin scumbags" as he signed in.
RIP Stu.

Signed up to post this.

So sorry to hear the news. I met Stu a number of times with Dad while at various LAN parties throughout the years.

NTHW & the people involved was a big part of my life and I owe a lot of my interest in computers, gaming and development to everybody involved in that experience, so it's very sad to see somebody part of that has passed.

RIP Stu.

Stu was a top bloke, and even though I didn't know him as well as some here, I will miss him greatly.

Shocked to say the least.  What a tragic end to the weekend.  Thoughts with his family.
Must have been harrowing for you guys too who were there.

I've let PA know btw, who passes on his thoughts and shock too.

I'm going to miss him dearly. Always looked forward to seeing him at the LANs. At the last one I went to he let me use his rig almost the whole day. So generous.

RIP mate.

Guys I was shocked to hear the news, Stu was always friendly and kind towards me and always gave his time to help SAWB, our two "clans" go back some time and had many fun matches I'm sure I speak for all at SAWB in sending my deapest condolences to both his family and many friends.

He will be sadly missed.

Best wishes.

Paul.

This is still hard to believe, a good friend, my thoughts are with his family and friends. It won't be the same without his coined 'evenin scumbags' and dry sense of humour. RIP Pal.
