The 2009/10 Football Season
The old one will probably stay open whilst the bog boys fight over some glorified cups, but this is for the pre-season and ultimately 09/10 season.
City are starting to plan early for new signing. Andrew Driver looks like a good signing at the right price. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...an/8036850.stm |

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
My beloved Tractor Boys have seen off eleven players from the squad without any incoming signing of note. Just relying on Mr Keane then
![]() 4th favourites for promotion based on that? ![]() Q

well for my team, Woking FC, since our relegation to the conference south, it seems as if we've have more incoming movement with directors/board members than players....

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
Still early days yet folks have faith in your managers and only panic if no-one has come in by the end of the pre season friendlies.
Of course Sky it doesn't matter who you bring in your still guaranteed two losses ![]() Portman Road's always a dodgy place to go for us though talking of which hows our reject Mr McAuley doing for you QK? I seem to recall him scoring both of our goals last time we paid you a visit. Didn't you have Scowcroft back from us for a while as well before he went to the wrong end of the M69

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
There was some major reservations about McAuley when he arrived and he had a very bad start for us. However, with so many players not showing any passion or loyalty to the club, and with Coco Magilton at the helm, McAuley actually turned out to be one of the few successes we had.
Town had a habit under Coco of bringing back old boys to try and pacify the increasingly frustrated (and dropping) crowd. The only real success was Richard Wright. The club under achieved last year (as believed by the fans of all clubs who dont win anything!) but we have more hope this coming season. Mind you, and although it seems to be said every season, the Championship this year seems the toughest ever with Newcastle and West Brom favourites for automatic promotion and at least ten others looking to have a reasonable shot at the playoffs. Hoping for a top six spot. Q |

Didn't see this one coming.........
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...td/8131801.stm Could be the best bit of business all season or a nightmare. Sir Alex barely gets it wrong though. |

Perhaps it will be the kick up the proverbial that Owen needs, he certainly didn't pay Newcastle back for their investment, the folks I know from that neck of the woods say that all he's interested in is his horses or playing for England, sod all in between

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
i think it is abit of a joke because he can't get in to the england squad for 1 and also he just seems to get injured to easy.
if he is coming to us for free then fine but i would not pay for him although with ronaldo gone and tevez going, we need someone and i cant see berbatov improving over last season and, lets just hope fergy starts playing rooney in his best roll of out and out striker and not on the left wing. |

First pre-season game. Wrexham 1 - 1 Coventry.
Not great, but a solid start and you can't read much into pre-season anyway. |

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
Apparently according to rumour Spurs are signing Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker from Sheff Utd with Walker going straight back on loan with them.
Are they any good? |

Re: The 2009/10 Football Season
Naughton is supposed to be good. But not seen enough to judge tbh.
