Facebook - Why is it so addictive?

I've been resisting the tempation to spend even more of my life on line and trying desperately to avoid being sucked into this phenomenon. After months of pressure from my scuba diving mates (yes I do have friends ouotside of NTHW), I've succumbed.

Now not only do I have to keep pace with the posts on here, and other forums, I now need to regularly check up on all the nonsence updates over there. Worst of all I'm getting drawn into silly games. Theres a version of Bejewelled (isn't there one of those everywhere), and worst of all soomething called "Mafia Wars" which really does want you to do things two or three times a day.

If I'm not around much anymore, you know why. Steer clear of this social networking stuff. It's evil

lol. Such an old man MGP !!

It is addictive, but it wears off. Give it 6 months and you'll be only logging in for a few mins at a time. Just don't get the Facebook app for iPod/iPhone. Its bloody addictive at first !!

Re: Facebook - Why is it so addictive?

well i have dilli/stu/gottu/rammy/dutchie and the old man (dad) can't remember if there is anyothers from the clan that i have on there.

the bejewelled is addictive you only get 1 minute of play but i still manage to get over 100k 99% of the times.
