The NTHellWorld Clan's Online Gaming Servers

The [NTHW] clan operate a number of servers for online computer gaming dependent on our resources, and which genre is taking our fancy. Consequently they do change from time to time. We have focused on the Call of Duty series, but Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is gaining popularity. The forthcoming Medal of Honour might be of interest too. Game servers are normally available to the public, provided that we aren't in a match.

Our game servers are on a dedicated windows based server with KillerCreation. The specs are Intel Core2Duo E6700 with 2GB RAM and 74GB Raptor HD. KillerCreation also separately host our Teamspeak and website.

The Clan's Call of Duty Servers

We operate a number of servers for the various COD game types. These include:

Kindly note some servers may be temporarily disabled. We do change map rotations and gametypes periodically, and our members can use rcon to alter these at any time. Customised servers are always likely to be reconfigured as we experiment.

Teamspeak

The clan also has a private Teamspeak 3 server, enabling voice communication between us, whilst in game. Indeed it is our use of teamspeak that we believe adds significantly to our enjoyment. Guests should contact a clan member for login details.

Please ensure your game is fully patched to the current levels:

Downloading and Punkbuster

Players must set their game with downloading and Punkbuster enabled. Downloading is essential to allow installation of custom maps and game modifications where these are enabled. Our game servers stream to PBBans.com to minimise cheaters.

Gameserver Terms of Use

[NTHW] generally welcomes mature players who want to have fun. Please play the game as it is intended to be played.

We don't wish to heavily control our game servers, but experience suggests we do need a few guidelines. You should be aware of our general Website Policies. Specifically for our gameservers:
We will not tolerate racist behaviour or abuse of other players, clan members or admins. Foul language is to be avoided. User names and tags must not be offensive. There is a difference between in game banter and inappropriate conduct.
Use of cheats, hacks or exploits is forbidden. You agree that your game profile will be screened by Punkbuster, PBbans and similar systems, and where appropriate your details will be linked to and recorded by such systems. We rely on these organisations for protection and if they detect a cheat you may be banned from not only our servers, but third party linked servers too. Any appeal for a detected cheat would need to be directed to the banning system, not ourselves.
If it is part of the game it can generally be used. Do not intentionally spawnkill or teamkill. Avoid use of game glitches. Camping is often a part of valid game tactics but should not be overused, whilst camping in the spawn bases is not acceptable. We reserve the right to warn if in our opinion your gameplay style is becoming a nuisance.
Certain game perks and functions cannot be disabled at server level, without affecting the server status. However they can be annoying, such as the martyrdom ('nade of 'noob) perk in Call of Duty 4 & 5. Console messages will remind players they are inappropriate. If you do not remove such perks when requested you may be required to leave the game.
Some servers have limited slots. We reserve the right to kick players to make way for clan members.
Our paid up clan members have rcon access to the servers. They have the right to change maps, gametypes and other settings as appropriate.
No recruiting for your own clan. No posting of inappropriate links, especially to adult material.
Do not impersonate Clan Members or Admins. The tags "[NTHW]" may only be used by players who are full authorised members of NTHellWorld.

Where appropriate we will warn players, but we reserve the right to kick, suspend or permanently ban. As we finance the servers such decisions are final.
