Of course England will reach the knockout stages. Where you will lose to Germany on penalties, as is tradition :D

Happy enough with the squad and the 11 probably picks itself except for perhaps 2 positions (wingers).
But I think its nowhere near as good as other countries and if we get out of the group it'll be a success.

Looking forward to the spectacle though and watching a few games.

Its here!

Argentina to win it (and coincidentally who I have in the sweepstake), but Brazil to get off the mark with a win tonight.

 :cheer:

Looking at the draws, if England get out of the group and past the last 16, we'd probably meet Brazil in the QF's, and if by some miracle we won, then possibly Germany in the SF's....
Could be an England - Argentina Final?  :D insert flying pig smiley here  :P

Ended up staying up to watch the match, and really wish I had not.

Guess I was right in thinking we won't get out of the group stage!

Maybe if Rooney had played with a bit of pride we might have won. I honestly think he is over hyped and short on talent these days.

Yep, full agree Bill. The only good thing he did was the cross for Sturridge to score from. The corner he skied into to crowd near the end was atrocious, the groundsman had said that area of the pitch was bad, so why Rooney tried to launch a corner in.....
Just hope Roy has the balls to, at minimum put him of the bench for the next game.

I should have put a bet on before the world cup for England to loose every game and not qualify.

100% pathetic performance in both games by Sturridge and Sterling, defence is shockingly poor and Midfield should be in the middle of the field not sat back on the edge of the area.

Sack the lot of em and start over with players who want to win games and not just try to get there next club move.

Very true, not at all disappointed with England going out this time and it was 99% expected,
it's looking very much like we're going to do a Eurovision and get Nil Pwoints....

Going for a European final. Germany to beat Brazil tonight and Holland to beat Argies.
However, as I have Argentina in the sweepstake at work, I'm hoping its the other way round  ;D
